A LITTLE DOG HISTORY!!

Incredible but true: after running and cycling, our dog friends can now taste the joys of scootering with their master! Close-up on the most unusual of canine sports…

A little new among carriage sports, the cani-scooter allows you to go for a ride with your faithful companion attached to a scooter. This unusual discipline of driving is practiced on multiple terrains, from groomed trails in the city center to less passable trails in the countryside.

Origin of the scooter

Since its creation at the beginning of the 20th century , the scooter has continued to evolve. The very first models were made of wood, had 3 wheels (1 front and 2 rear) and were reserved for children.

A pride to have this 3-wheeled model

It was not until the 1950s that it became a real means of transport, used by many people and by our dog friends.

If the appearance of this discipline in Canada is recent, its practice in the Nordic countries, where it was born, is not. In these remote regions where the snow persists for a good part of the year, it is used by mushers as a summer alternative to sled training.

Several harnessed sports competitions have integrated scooters over the past few years. Both in Quebec and in Canada, this concept is gaining popularity.

So, Go Doggies!!!
